Lindsey's Overnight Travel

Since moving to the Oregon House, Lindsay has built strong, trusting relationships with her support staff, giving her the confidence to explore more. After a fun beach trip and a memorable visit to Seven Feathers Casino, she planned an overnight birthday celebration with her best friend and chosen staff. With each experience, Lindsay is embracing travel with growing excitement!

Alex Takes a Big Step with Special Olympics

After years of participating only in local Special Olympics events due to anxiety about overnight trips, Alex persevered for this year’s regional tournament in Springfield. With the support of consistent, trusted staff, he stayed overnight, played in all three games, and had a great time on and off the field. His confidence and joy were clear, and we couldn’t be prouder of this big step forward!

Melissa’s Journey Back on the Bus

After years of avoiding the bus due to a past experience, Melissa found inspiration in her independent housemate, Arianna, and bravely decided to give it another try. With growing confidence, she’s now planning to ride the bus to work and explore even more of our community on her own. Melissa, we cannot wait to hear about your next big accomplishment!

Oregon House Renovation

Over several years, this project delivered impactful upgrades—new fencing, decking, carpet, and more—thanks to generous community grants and fundraising from our annual golf tournament. These improvements not only enhanced functionality and safety but also restored a deep sense of pride in the space for everyone who lives at the Oregon House.
