Our Story
Inspiring Unlimited Opportunities for People to Create the Life They Choose
At Southern Oregon Aspire, we foster environments where possibilities are endless, empowering everyone to explore their potential. We consider each individual’s needs, history, and preferences to actively support their unique interests and rights, empowering them to shape their own destinies.
Southern Oregon Aspire was formed in 1975 by a group of parents wanting more for their children.
Instead of placing their loved ones in a state institution or restricting their interaction to only their home, these parents sought after a better life for their children, believing their children had the right to live the life they choose in our community.
Decades later, Southern Oregon Aspire is still continuing to make that belief a reality as we provide residential supports, community employment training and placement for over 130 individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Josephine County.
Each day, we Inspire Unlimited Opportunities for People to Create the Life They Choose.
