Behavior Consultation Services

Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience challenges beyond cognitive limitations. There is a broad consensus that behavioral problems impact the lives of many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and create significant challenges for families and support providers. Providing necessary support and safety to individuals, families and the community can be a challenging task.

The Behavior Consultation team at Southern Oregon Aspire understand these challenges and can identify, access and instruct appropriate interventions that can provide key components to a successful supported lifestyle for people.

At Aspire, we will help you think about the behavior differently. Rooted in positive behavior support, person centered planning, and the science of behavior, we ask different questions.

We value:

With education, proper tools and supports, along with our dedicated team of professionals, we can help individuals, families and the support staff understand what it takes to help individuals thrive in our community. With that comes the understanding of how communities can be enriched though the participation of people with disabilities.

Assuring safety for individuals with challenging behaviors, providers, and citizens is an essential component of a well-crafted positive behavior support plan.

Southern Oregon Aspire provides outreach behavioral consultation to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, parents, provider agencies, foster providers, etc. Our program has blended various approaches in establishing this style of positive behavior supports that also promotes Community Inclusion. The approach subscribes to the belief that people with disabilities and challenging behaviors can thrive in the community with proper supports.
